Hi,
I have 2 questions:
(1) Is it possible to make my own message that end-user, after filling in the form, will see (or not)?
Basically, I see this message when I create a form and <distribute it>:
Instructions to add this form to a response file:
1. Double-click the attachment.
2. Acrobat will prompt you to select a response file.
But, I don't really want to see this as it could create a confusion for the end-user. I am aware that we could customize our message if we were to send the form out via Acrobat but, I'm planning to send the form manually. Please help.
You can use an app.alert JavaScript to show the message you want: http://livedocs.adobe.com/acrobat_sdk/9.1/Acrobat9_1_HTMLHelp/JS_API_A croJS.88.135.html
and then doc.mailDoc (or doc.submitForm) to send the email: http://livedocs.adobe.com/acrobat_sdk/9.1/Acrobat9_1_HTMLHelp/JS_API_A croJS.88.505.html
Hi George:
While reviewing the doc.mailDoc for creating own message...
** I am not sure <where> to add the script onto? I have Acrobat Pro, so should I go to Form>Javascript>document javascritps? Then, ADD the script there? Or, I should head onto <properties>?
Also, regarding app.alert javascript:
** I understood that in order to use that alert mesage, I must <attach> or <link> it with a particular Field. But the message I was referring to, was the message that automactially shows up, onto the body of the email when the end-user attaches the form that I've created to send it back to me.
I want to 'change' that message on the email body.
How can I use the app.alert javascript for my purpose? If it's possible, please describe.
Thanks!
