The remote server is not respondig.....

I try to install Adobe Application mangager and get this error:

 

"We've encountered the following issue:

The remote server is not responding in a proper manner. Please retry after a few minutes."

 

I've been trying for several hours , and still getting the same error. I don't have any other networking problem.

Hope someone have a solution to this, I really need photoshop tomorrow, when I can't use the beta version anymore. Hate to go back to CS5.

    Are you utilizing a proxy server or otherwise have some type of a managed network connection?  If you have a software firewall installed I would recommend temporarily disabling it to see if you have the same difficulties.

    same problem - running Windows 7 64-bit SP1 - turned off software firewall. I have never problems with other downloads on any other source ...

    I've figured it out. 3 hours on the phone with adobe got me no where. The IT guy in the office figured it out. There seems to be an issue with checksums. If you disable "verify checksums" (in disk utility preferences on a mac) it should work. Hope this helps.

    i am using a mac and facing the same problem.. i tried disabling "verify checksum" as described above however i had no luck.. Does anyone have have idea. thank you

    Same error here on Mac. Checksum didn't help, but I doubt it has anyting to do with connecting to the server.

    Damn. The checksum didn't fully work. Acrobat, After Effects, Fireworks, Flash Pro, Illustrator, InDesign, Muse, and Photoshop worked. The rest didn't. Back on the phone with Adobe right now. 30 minutes in and haven't gotten anywhere. As soon as I have something I'll stop by and let you know. GL to all.

    We are currently investigating this issue.  For the moment please try updating the Adobe Application Manager per the steps listed in Download error 403 launching AAM | CCM - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/download-error-403-launching- aam.html.

    I had the same problem as explained above and updated the AAM as described in the previous post. This one however shows a 403 error.

    On a Windows 7 64 bit machine, with a clean install and no firewalls in the way yet, and I am having the same problem.  I have received the same error mesage all day long.  The solution of manually installing AAM also did not work.  That only replaces the server error message noted above with the 403 error message.  If this is not corrected soon, I will have to cancel my Creative Cloud subscription.  It is worse than useless to be paying for a service and software that I cannot even install....

    The server has been down for over 24 hrs.. When can we expect a solution to this? Creative cloud was a great idea but i have been trying for over 24 hrs to install it with no luck.

    Forgive me: missed that one, and the latest version work's very well. (The error screen wouldn't even allow me to select Preferences to even determine what version I had). Would be very cool if there was a version auto-update within the app itself. Anyway, all set. Thanks Jeff.

    Thanks for the update h0pp3r the Adobe Application Manager is suppose to check for an updated version when it is invoked.  It would appear for whatever reason that process was unsuccessful on your computer. 

    If you run into similar failures though please try downloading AAM directly from the product update page.  The installer from the update page is actually fetching the latest version as part of the install process.  The installer itself though could be updated thus it is best to obtain the current version available on the page as opposed to archiving the copy you have downloaded.
