Animation and Widgets do not work anymore Captivate 5.5

Hello All,

 

For some reason, my widgets and animations do not work anymore. When I preview my project, the movie pauses when i get to a slide with an animation and/or a widget. All of these widgets and animations are the ones that come with captivate (gallery). Ive tried publishing with external animations, widgets etc, compressing or not compressing data, preloading, fade in and out. I am totally lost. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance for your help.

    Did they previously work in cp5/5.5?

     

    I discovered a couple months ago that some of the widgets and animations didn't work because Cp5+ can only use AS3 flash items and some of the gallery objects were AS2 or even AS1.  Yes, that's right, some of the items shipped with the product were not compatible with the product.  Pretty ridiculous if you ask me.

     

    Cp4 could use AS2 or AS3, if I recall, so they would've worked there, but not once you convert the project to Cp5+.

    Thanks, but I'm not sure that the thread answers addresses my particular problem. I am able to import widgets and animations, and text animations just fine, but when it is time to preview my project, the animations don't work and the project pauses. These exact animations and widgets and text animations have worked before but now they don't. I really don't get it.

    I am experiencing the exact same problem with only one text animation out of three text animations working on a slide (in preview 5 slides mode). Even the animation that is working is not displaying all the text.

     

    Can someone at Adobe please provide us with a solution or is this a defect that can not be overcome?
