PS-CS6 Square cut outs and missing backgrounds? HELP

out of the blue, some of my laters have square holes in the center of their body, as well as my background dissapearing? PLEASE HELP.

    Can you try again with your images Johnny?  PNG should be OK.   It would be helpfull if you did a screen grab so we can see your layers panel.

    MacOS - turn off GPU drawing until Apple updates their drivers.

     

    Which OS version are you using, and which model video card?

    Well, 10.7.2 has known video card driver issues (mostly) fixed in 10.7.3.

    And the Intel GPUs also have a lot of known problems.

     

    Try turning off the GPU in Photoshop preferences then relaunching Photoshop.

    Is GPU drawing still turned off?  If it's fine with GPU drawing disabled, then it is probably the video card driver.
