error message  photoshop elements editor.exe entry not foung

    I have microsoft vista.. When I open photoshop elements the organizer opens good. When I select a photo to full edit the message   The procedure entry point ON preview overlay create could not be located in the dynamic link library ON imaging.dill

    One time I got this message  photoshop elements editor.exe entry point not found.  Can you help me fix this error. Thanks Kathryn

    Whew!  That's one heck of an error.

     

    I suggest you use Start...Contol Panel...Programs and Features to uninstall Photoshop Elements.  Then reboot your computer.  Then re-install PSE.

    Ken; I have uninstalled pse and rebooted the computer.  I still get the same error.

    OK, in Windows, create a new standard user account.  Restart the computer and log in to that new user account.  Does PSE work?

    Ken; I uninstalled photo essentials4 and the problem stopped.  Is there some way I can reinstall it without it causing a problem again? Kathryn

    Kathryn, that was a good catch to discover that Photo Essentials was causing the problem.

     

    There's nothing you can do except running the problem past OnOne Software's tech support.  If they can't help, get your money back.
