CS6 Extended consistently crashing

Hello, as the title states, I've a problem with CS6 Extended consistently crashing.  I'm going to attach my system info below if anyone would care to offer opinions.  I don't mind a crash here and there, but this is more common than that.  The beta was also unstable, but I was hoping the release would be better...  (And as a note, I did uninstall the beta before installing the release).  Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Not a mac guy, nor a computer expert but this line AdobeCrashDaemon keeps poping up so that would be a place to start looking.

     

    Most crashes are from a driver (printer, scanner, video card), or 3rd party font or plugin.

    Curt. thank you.  It does seem like it was font related.  Haven't had a bad font for ages, but indeed I verefied them and one was curropt.  Deleted it and cleared the OS and PS font caches.  I also (as recommended somewhere else on adobe's site) turned "type>font preview size" in the menu bar to "None" in photoshop.  Supposedly with this on there can be crashes similar to mine.

     

    Been working away since the two crashes this morning, and after those changes everything has been stable.

    That's not a Photoshop crash report, that's a crash inside the daemon that's supposed to be monitoring the application for crashes.

    And that probably means that you have a bad install, or a corrupt system install.

     

    If Photoshop itself is crashing, I need the report, or your email or machine GUID so we can look up the crashes in our database.

     

     

    The System Info looks fine, but the Nik plugins do have some known crashes that Nik is working on.

    Chris, interesting, strange that cleaning the fonts up seemed to have helped...maybe just a coincidence then.

    Not necessarily coincidence - MacOS has several known bugs in their font code that can cause memory corruption. (some of which is fixed in 10.7)

    I'm currently using Windows XP. I have run CS3,CS4 and CS5 With out any problems.  I recently got my free upgrade to CS6. It chashes constantly. I can barely open a file without it crashing. When I can't open the file I can never print it without crashing. Any adjustments are out of the question.  Is there any hope of this product being usefull in the future?

    CS6 should work on an XP machine, although the 3D will not work.  Need Win7 for this. 

     

    You also need service pack 3 for XP for CS6 to work.
