Hello,

I want to use the Connect Addin for linux in ubuntu 11.10. But the window just show the message "Loading Adobe Connect". I've tried multiple help on the forum (clean the cache of my navigator, global settings as always, etc...) but nothing work. How can i solve this problem ?

I would be also interested by a way to have interesting debug message from connectaddin.log, how can i set it to be more verbose ?

OS

  • ubuntu 11.10
  • gnome-shell
  • 32 bits

Navigator

  • Firefox 8.0 (but 7.0 does not work either)
  • I've cleaned the cache several times

Flash player

  • Shockwave Flash 11.1 r102
  • installed on /usr/share/ubufox/plugins/libflashplayer.so and /usr/lib/flashplugin-installer/libflashplayer.so (don't know which one is used)
  • global settings are all set as "always"

If you are seeing that loading continuously then it usually means that port 1935 is blocked. Port 80, 443, 1935 need to be open on the firwall for you to use Adobe Connect. On this same network, are you able to use Windows or Mac to connect just fine?

Is there a firewall on the Linux PC that might have port 1935 blocked.

There is a debug mode for the add-in but you need to call into Adobe Support and they can help you diagnose this.

You will need to go the the Adobe Support page which will load based on your country:

    Hello,

ich have a similar problem in Ubunt 11.10 with Adobe Connect. I have the Adobe Connect Addon installed and I can see other people's screens without any trouble. Also we can use the whiteboard together. However, when I want to share my desktop, an additional "Loading adobe connect ..." window opens and after a few seconds the Adobe Connect main window collapses.

There are no firewall issues. So it has to something else. So my question is: Julien, did you succed with your problem? Or does anybody have an idea how to solve that?

If not I will contact the support.

I have exactly the same problem occurring on ubuntu 12.04.

The adobe connect diagnostic check suggest me to install only the add-in but after installed the linux 32bit version nothing change.

    What cab I do?
