Lately, when I try to use sites I have used before, I get the message to Upgrade to Adobe Flash Player. I thought I already had that and I can't seem to install it. Is it free? Can someone help me?
What is your operating system, version & edition?
What is your web browser?
What is your current Flash Player version? See http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/find-version-flash-player.html

What does that mean; what happens when you try?
I have a MacBook Pro and my web browser is Safari. The Mac is MacOS Xv.10.6 I believe. I am really not very computer literate. When I went to the page that asked about my current Flash Player, the box was blank. I appreciate your help. I will keep trying. I thought I always had a Flash Player as part of this system and never had a problem before a week ago. Also, I have tried to download it and it does not show up on my Desktop. It looks like it's downloading and then the little download box goes blank. It says some kind of drop down box should appear. I'm sorry I am so confused on this. I do appreciate your time & help. I may be beyond help at this point!! Thank you! Supposedly my current version is 11.2.202.235. I keep getting the message--"missing plug-in".
Could you please see the information in the following link? http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-pla yer-mac.html#Flash_Player_for_Safari
I suspect Flash Player is downloaded in your computer. Ideally it should be there in your Download folder. You need to install it by following the steps mentioned in the above link.
Also, ensure that Plug-ins and JavaScript are enabled in Safari. (Go to Preference in Safari and see if they are enabled.)
