Wish List

I've long been looking for the perfect wireframe/prototype app.  I think Adobe Proto will be it (I have faith in you guys!), but there are some things missing in my opinion.  Here's my wish list for the perfect app:

  1. Link to external files - both as a nav option and as a notation option (eg, say I want to link to a certain jQuery plugin demo so that the client or developer fully understands how the element should behave).
  2. Arrange Order - set the z index of objects, like in all other Adobe programs (and most other prototype programs).
  3. External Images - (or pull in images from your creative cloud?) some clients just can't deal with a wireframe if it doesn't have their logo in it ;-)  There are plenty of other useful reasons for this though.
  4. UI elements - it would be great to drag and drop more UI elements, especially when prototyping for mobile.  A good start would be:
    1. Slider
    2. Search Bar
    3. Mobile/Tablet keyboard
    4. Pagination elements
    5. Multi Picker / App-style select lists
    6. Calendar elements
    7. Map element
    8. Tooltip element
    9. Handy UI icons to quickly convey functional elements (like multimedia, camera, social networks, etc)
  5. Tables - I rarely use tables in programming, but they are handy in prototyping so that you can set up a quick grid for things like products in a store.  Any type of column interface would help
  6. Mix up Lorem Ipsum - it doesn't look so good when I put 3 colums of identical Lorem Ipsum side by side.
  7. Simple Shapes - there are times when it is useful to visualize something other than a rectangle (circle, triangle, rounded rectangle)

I think this program is an awesome start, and I definitely work much faster in this program than other prototype programs, which is why I wanted to bring every suggestion I could think of.  Good work!

    Thanks for the suggestion.

Actually, we have way to create table by gesture. draw like + will create table on canvas. please refer to Gesture Guide.

Regarding some of the UI elements, it could be mixed up typical static wireframe application.

We try to focused on Interactive wirefame. Therefore, that is not directly fit as current scope. However, when you place form element and view in preview mode, you can invoke keyboard. Same thing for the search field. When you create mobile layout wireframe and preview in iPhone or smart phone, you can verify how keyboard function with those form element.

For the version 1.0, we focused on stripped out design factor, such as adding photo, changing color, editing <p> text to focus on communication for information priority of the contents.

Based on the user's voice, we will prioritize new feature sets for near future version's of Adobe Proto.

We are interested in what kind of wireframe you typically create and want to create.

If you can share your design, we really appriciate that!

    Thanks,

    Takashi
