Unable to open PM files when server is down

Each time the server is down, I can't open my PageMaker files, even though I created and saved them on my desktop. Images I work with are also saved and/or created on my desktop. I just don't get why PageMaker should need a server connection when everything is done locally. Well... "everything" as far as I know...Questions (Ask, Answer, Monitor)

    PM was never happy opening files from a remote drive.  Copy EVERYTHING to your local drive.

     

    If PM is looking for remote drive, then there is a link somewhere which needs to deleted or re-directed.

    The server is back on line so it is not easy to check that everything is ok.

     

    But I am confident that next time it will be better as I deleted all the links in my documents from the links management window.
