Http dynamic streaming, TTML, closed captioning and live

Hello,

I'm trying to find some informations about closed captioning and live http dynamic streaming. May be it is the wrong place for this question, but I see that some work has been done in the OSMF player (SMPTETTPlugin,  CaptioningPlugin for example).

In two words, is closed captioning supported as it is the case for the Microsoft smooth streaming protocol ? In the case of live SmoothStreaming, the ttml is embedded in an mp4 track that is synchronized with the video, like the audio track is.

Sorry for the comparaison with the smoothstreaming, but I'm familiar with it, and my goal is to compare both protocols and it is very difficult to find informations about subtitling, so I fear it is not well supported for live.

Any pointers appreciated.

Thanks,
