Trapcode Particular ( CS5 ) Not working

Hey, first time poster

Anyway I just installed TP for AE and when I search the Effects and Presets folder it will say MISSING Particular, I have followed many videos and can't seem to get it installed.

 

I have it in my plug-ins folder, here is a pic of what it looks like Untitled-1.jpg

    My first guess is that you have the 32-bit version of the plug-in. After Effects CS5 requires the 64-bit version.

    I made sure it was the 64bit I was using

    The file size of the AEX indicates Particular v1. It ever only existed as a 32bit version. The current v2.1.1 is about 2MB for the 32bit version and almost 4MB for the 64bit version. Given that, it really begs the question where the hell you got these files from? I mean, you can download the correct demo free from Red Giant and the only limitation is the red cross demo spoiler which should not matter for following tutorials...

    I can see nobody even asnwered this question for you. I have a free trial and have been working on getting it working for 2 weeks now, but nothing. Did you ever figure it out? I have been all over the internet for so long any nobody knows how to fix it..

    We answered. The fellow has the wrong version of the Particular plug which reads  "2006." Ancient history. Done.

     

    If you are having trouble with Particular, you should be talking directly to Red Giant and hanging out on their forum.

    Get the demo of 2.1 from the Red Giant Software website. I even got the link, just fill out this form and click submit. (https://www.redgiantsoftware.com/downloads/trial-versions/registration /trapcode-particular/)

     

    Just ignore the red X over the video, or you can buy the full version (academic users will get a discount)

    BRAVO97779,

     

    I recently encountered the same issue. I discovered that for some odd reason, the RedGiant website preselects the older version 1 of Particular and must be reset EVERYTIME the page is reloaded.

     

    By noting this, I was able to confirm that I download version 2. I hope this solves your issue.
