CS6 States going out of order!

I use Fireworks primarily to make silly little animations as I'm only a casual computer guy, but I big issue I am having is that when opening a recently saved Animated Gif file, my slides keep getting themselves out of order when I attempt to fine tune the timing. Every time I put the misplaced slide back into its proper location, another slide (usually from the beginning) is placed out of order (usually near the end)

I want to emphasize that I am only an amateur, so please bear with me. Any help will be appreciated!

    Can you post one of the animated GIFs that's giving you problems? When you say "fine tune the timing", what action are you performing to accomplish this?

     

    Also, what version of Fireworks are you using, and what's your operating system?
