It froze on me at 6%, so I backed out of it. Now I can't find an installer or any record of a download. Do I have to re-download the trial & will it let me. I am worried I will loose the opportunity to try the trial bc I completed the download part.
Hi,
If you are downloading a trial version, the download assistant will download and install the application automatically.
Even if you complete the download and the product doesn't install, you will be allowed to reinstall the trial.
When you say that the process freezes at 6%, does this happen as soon as you begin the download or after you initiate the installation? You would be asked to accept the License agreement and select a location for installation before the actual install process begins.
Thanks
It happens during the install after I choose my app folder etc. Funny enough, there is a window *somewhere*, of course now I can not remember where I saw it or how to get to it again in my computer, where I actually saw the dmg downloaded file for CS^ MasterAND photoshop which is what I tried first before I realized I could try the whole enchilada in 6. So, it would seem as if those installer downloads are on my drive but are greyed out. You can not see them in the application file but below it where it shows the file location (or the MAC russian doll display as I like to call it) it says it is there in another adobe file I can not seem to trip over. Meanwhile my download assistant still has 4 hours left to dowload CS6 Master...again.
My 3rd download completed with no install successfully completed and no apparaent way to access the dmg file on previous attempts.. so I selected application folder and accepted agreement. It has been about 12 hours installing now and only 8% finished.and 4766 min. left to go holy crap! help
This is the installation screen. I would recommend running the Adobe Support Advisor - http://www.adobe.com/support/loganalyzer/ to review your installation log. This should give you an indiciation of what is causing your difficulties.
I downloaded the support advisor and got this:
Here is the package code:
00-13279-180109062012
If I have two installations going I can only see one.
Thanks
UPDATE: Still says 8% but now has 15482 min. remaining. The percentage and the bar are static but the min. steadily incease. Aaaaaah, LOL.

Did you try the solutions listed in Troubleshoot error messages | Bootstrapper CS5, CS5.5 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-error-messages-b ootstrapper-cs5.html#main_You_are_already_running_another_installer_ this is the document which the Adobe Support Advisor recommended.
I uninstalled ALL the trials of six I have tried to download. Of course it said there was nothing to uninstall because none of them ever installed. So then I ran the cleaner on the link you gave me. And AGAIN it has stopped at 8% but the mn. keep increaseing. I have been trying to install this trial since LAST Thurs and nothing I have tried or what you have suggested has worked. I used the CS5 trial a couple of months ago- is that the problem? I heard 6 was out so I wanted to play around with that. I had CS2 but lost it when I upgraded my operating system. I was trying to see if I want to pony up for 6 or buy a copy of the 5.5. This is taking SO long. I have to be doing something wrong. It downloaded overnight and now this is a screenshot of where it is now. It has said 8% for 45 min.
As you can see it is the same thing. Could it be because I am on Wi-Fi? These are the only things I can think of.

The steps in Message #11 which you would want to try are as follows:
You are already running another installer
Only one Adobe Creative Suite 5 or CS5.5 installation can run a time. Otherwise, one of the following error messages appears:
“You are already running another Adobe installer. Please close other installer and select Retry option.”
“Other instances of Adobe Application Manager are running. To continue, installer needs to close those instances. Do you want to continue?”
Click Quit (for the first message) or No (for the second message) to exit the installer.
Close other Adobe setups:
Right-click the taskbar and select Task Manager.
Select the Processes tab, and select Show Processes From All Users.
Select any PDapp.exe or setup.exe process, and click End Process.
Repeat for all additional instances of PDapp.exe or setup.exe processes.
I finally figured out that you mean activity monitor which I never use but anyway I am only running ONE! I already used the cleaner and removed ALL copies (which were not fully installed copies) and RE downloaded from the latest email you sent me re the cleaner app. Furthermore I am not getting any of the messages that you have suggested That I was recieving:

For some reason It wont let me upload an image of the activity (task) manager, but I assure u there is only 1 Download assistant and 1 Application manager running.
Still stumped
