flash player issues

I have tried to download the update and it isnt working in Firefox.  I have tried many remedies per Firefox help page and Adobe help page.  I disabled other add-ons (real player).  I cleared Flash cache and Flash browsing history.  I added that txt file (protected mode) to the Flash folder.  I uninstalled the old version and deleted all the Flash files in system32.  I have tried multiple things and it still isnt working.  I dont know what else to do.   Please help if you can.

    specifically, it doesnt work for opening videos in Youtube and other sites.

    What means "not working" - what exactly do you see instead of the expected Flash content?

     

    What files do you have in C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash?

     

    What is your Windows version & edition?
