When I try to install version 11.3.300.257, it does not ask me to if I agreen with their privacy agreement. It does go ahead an show that it is downloding and installing on my computer (Windows 7 64 bit). But when I go to see what version I am using it doesn't show anything. When I go to the control panel the icon I see says flash 32.
When you open that Flash applet in the Control Panel, what does it show on the rightmost tab?
But anyway, the latest Flash applet should not show 32-bit any more in the Control Panel, so I assume that something went wrong with your installation.
Try a clean install, as described in http://forums.adobe.com/thread/928315
activeX version: not installed
plug-in version: 220.127.116.11
update----I tried the disable of the protect mode and that worked...it now shows v.257 as loaded. What risk am I taking by disableing the protect mode?? And why did it still not ask me if I agreed with the privacy terms when it installed flash?
update to update - - when I enabled protect mode flash didn't work. On a side note...I uninstalled the 64 bit flash player, restarted my computer and didn't load flash player at all. ( I am using Firefox 13) and when I went to the website that I know needs flash player, a pop up window came up and said I needed a missing plug-in. So I clicked on that and it went to get flash player 18.104.22.168 and loaded that instead of getting the newest version 11.3.300.257. When it went to install the v/235 it asked me if I agreed with the privacy terms which it doesn't ask when installing v/257. I installed v/257 on my wifes computer with no problems and it did ask for the agreement on her computer.....just don't understand what the problem is on my computer.
