iOS apps in Dreamweaver

Jun 9, 2012 9:55 AM

Hello

So I'm using Dreamweaver to create an app for my ipad (using phonegap to bundle it)...was wondering if this is going to function properly.  Right now It looks fine on my ipad but I'm wondering if it will be accepted by apple..?? Obviously some of the cool functionality is not available if I only edit in dreamweaver but i figure it's a place to start.

Wondering if anyone had any advice or experience with creating iOS apps in Dreamweaver...

I don't have a lot of first-hand experience, but you will need a developer membership (base is around $99/yr) in order to be allowed to submit apps to the app store.  All apps have to be signed before they can be submitted to Apple.  It might be worth your while to head over to their site and get more information about delivering apps.

As good as the DW community is, there are not a lot of specialists in the area of App development because, as you mention, in order to take advantage of OS-specific features you need the development tools like XCode.  To get the best response you can get, you may want to cross-post this topic in the PhoneGap community ( http://phonegap.com/community - keep in mind not all DW users) or the Apple Developer community.
