Uninstalling a corrupt suite

Hi there! I recently had some corruption occur on the drive where my OS (Windows 7-64) is located but not my CS4 installation. Yet I'm now unable to open any Adobe programmes at all even though they're located on a separate drive (I get errors ranging from talk of incorrect side-by-side configuration to being told the programme will work upon restart (it doesn't) to the programme openning but leaving me with a blank dialogue box (it looks like it would be an agreement of some sort). Other times I'm told that the files simply don't exist.). I'd really like to repair the installation by reinstalling it but right now that isn't possible either, since even the uninstallation programme isn't working - I just get a blank box. So does anybody have any advice they could give me here? Is there a command-line way to uninstall the programmes? Can I somehow delete the suite from my PC without further problems and without having to poke around in the registry?

I want to reformat my computer (the damage from the corruption was quite high elsewhere); if I reinstall CS4 on a blank installation will I lose "an activation" despite using the same hardware? Also, since I only really need to reformat my OS drive, would removing the CS4 files from my non-OS drive by simpling deleting them be suitable?

Thanks for any help that can be provided by anybody. I'll be happy with answers to any of the individual questions in here, if that counts for anything.
