How do I install my scanner, CanoScan LiDE 210, to import images into Photoshop? This scanner has been installed into my Mac already, but does not show in Photoshop under "Import".
Thanks for your email.
I have Photoshop CS5.
Also, I have a Mac OS X 10.7.4
I just read about the Twain drivers on the Adobe's website. Users are saying they don't really work. They're saying that Adobe is giving false information about Twain.
Instead the users are using utilities like VueScan or SilverFast. One person even uses the Mac's default imaging app.
I just installed the CanoScan LiDE 210 scanner. I guess I will try to connect this scanner with Photoshop somehow through Mac's imaging app.
I really don't know what I'm doing so wish me luck & let me know if you have any other suggestions.
Thanks,D
Hi,
You may try installing the twain for your PS CS5 over here : http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4963
Read the instructions before installing.
Thanks,
Baljeet

I don't know where you're seeing that sort of misinformation.
The Photoshop TWAIN plugin does work if your TWAIN scanner driver works (but many of them have bugs).
Be aware that most TWAIN drivers do not work in 64 bit addressing, and many TWAIN scanner drivers are buggy (which is why TWAIN has to be an optional install - the drivers were crashing all the time and people blamed the driver crashes on Adobe).
