Error 1310 installing Reader

Hi,
I am trying to install Adobe Reader. I have tried a couple of versions but keep getting Error 1310 messages:
Error 1310. Error writing to file: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 10.0\PDFPrevHndlrShim.exe.
Verify that you have access to that directory.
Error 1310. Error writing to file: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 9.0\Reader\plug_ins\Multimedia.api.
Verify that you have access to that directory.
Error 1310. Error writing to file: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 10.0\Reader\reader_sl.exe.
Verify that you have access to that directory.
I have tried:
- uninstalled previous versions of Reader
- tried Running commands 'msiexec /unreg' 'msiexec /regserver'
- I have tried disabling Kaspersky
I am running Windows XP SP3.I recently had to revert my computer back to 'Dell Factory State' and previous to this I have never had any problems with an Adobe installation.
Any help or ideas would really be appreciated.
