Single edition for a newsletter ?

Hello

 

I was wondering about something:
We want to give an "iPad newsletter" once every two months to our contacts

Is it possible to do so with the Single edition ?

 

Like, it's one document (let's say "OUR NEWSLETTER") that we push to the App store

 

and when it's updated, people know about it, and take the new version then

 

Is that possible ?

    I think no. You cannot replace content with single edition: you need to buy

    and create a new app each time. And Apple does not allow

    single-article-apps in the App Store.

     

    You are much better with a professional edition kiosk with push

    notifications. But again, the content here as to be thrilling as well to

    get through apple's approval.

    I'm all messed up, because here it says we can

     

    maybe then the best thing is to share and telll people to get themselves a free adobe ID ?

     

    FYI it'll be a really rich newsletter with many articles

    technically you can (but this process you refered to is on updating a folio

    in a multi folio viewer, not for single edition). any update with single

    edition has to go through apple. single edition licence agreement somehow

    states that you are not allowed to replace content. and apple thinks is not

    a good idea as well (to replace the content a user already downloaded).

    so we can send a newsletter by the basic "share" option ?

    there's no limit in the number of people allowed to watch it ??

     

    because it's too expensive for us to put the singlke edition cost + the downloads, if 10 000 people get it this will cost us 395+10.000*0.30: USD 3395 ... pretty expensive for a newsletter ;-) as we're a 15/20 people company
