I'm going to be honest: I love Adobe Story - but the input lag is incredibly bad. I can't write if I stop-and-start over and over again. For what I do (amateur films), Final Draft 8 is too expensive, and Story seems like the best and brightest of the scriptwriting bunch. But if I can't get the lag down, there's no way that I can write with the flow I'm used to.
Can you PLEASE figure out what the problem is? It seems like this is a solved problem. If MS Word and Google Docs can figure out how to handle the lag, why can't Adobe?
I have not yet tried that on my Core 2 Duo laptop. My Core 2 Quad desktop
at work (using Windows 7, and both Firefox and Chrome), work fine without
closing the outline view and properties panel. There is some input lag,
but it can keep up, more or less, with what I type. Do you think this
might just be a "brute force" problem?
