Pan & Zoom (glitch) requires a tap to work.

I have an image set up to pan & zoom.

You can't just start pinching to zoom and move around, you have to tap the image then wait a second, then you can move it around or zoom in.

Anyone have any ideas how to make this work without havig to tap? It doesn't look like a feature and more of a bug...

That’s not a glitch or bug…that’s how it works.

As Bob said, that's not a glitch or a bug

with any interactivity - the user has to initiate it - may this be on a page load or through tapping.

so to initiate a pan & zoom, the user has to tap.

yes you gotta explain to your clients or readers, because otherwise they may not see this behavior is available (happened to me as well ;-))

For a nice example of how you can educate the users about this, check out National Geographic. They place a "Tap to zoom" circle over the pan and zoom overlay. I'm not sure exactly what combination of overlays they're using to do this, but it works well.
