PDF's can't be read

Greetings

 

I have just installed successfully the Abobe reader.  However when I click on a PDF sent by e-mail, it can't be read...

 

...so frustrated by this...!!!

    Please let us know if you receive any error message when you try to open the PDF file.

    Can you tell us your OS? Your version of Reader? What you use to read your email? Can the Adobe Reader open and read files on your computer?

    Hi Michael:

     

    Thanks for your response.  I am using Windows XP ver. 2002.  I just downloaded the Adobe Reader from the Abobe website today.

     

    My e-mail in Internet Explorer.   Yes, I have had files from the past that if I open the Adobe Reader, it will read the files.

    It won't read the files when I attempt to download them from Internet Explorer.  The computer says it has down loaded the file

     

    the error message reads:  The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135).  Click on OK to terminate the application.

     

    That is where my PDF adventures...end...many times...
