emebedded images

Jun 11, 2012 12:09 PM

I have a logo in AI cs5. A portion of the logo is an embedded image. this is causing issues when I try to place and then resize the image in INdesign cs5. Is there any way I can just expand that embedded image? I have tried to expand the the logo and to flatten the transperncey but the object seems to retain its bounding box. is there a good solution for this?

Your problem is best fixed in InDesign.

InDesgin >> File >> Place(Show Import Options) >> Bounding Box

When I need to do this with client's files, I save as pdf, open in Acrobat, export images from there using the Advanced  > Image Processing, crop properly in Photoshop and link the image back in Illustrator.
