I realize this is not really a question about Premeiere Pro, but I thought you guys might help. I shoot with a few SONY HVR-Z5U cameras and I play back my tapes on a SONY HDR-FX7 camera. I capture video with HDVSplit with scene detection on. I'm noticing an increase in red frames. I run a Panasonic cleaning tape through the HDR-FX7 for about 10 seconds every few months, but it doesn't seem to help. I always use new SONY DVM60 tapes to record my videos and when I find a red frame, I re-capture that bit of footage and it usually plays back fine the second time. How can I minimize or eliminate these annoying red frames?
