Paragraph composer with kerning feature

I need to create a new paragraph composer which has the kerning feature included. I want to make a function that could return the kerning value (%) between glyphs; and hence i want to adjust the spacing between them, thereby implementing the kerning. I want to implement this in the "Single Line Composer" sample in the InDesign API.

 

I have left with less time and i am not getting the idea how should it be implemented.

 

Any support will be helpful..
