Updating single folio forces full download of issue

Hi,

 

Not sure if anyone else has experienced this or if anyone knows of a fix but when I update a single page within a published issue and run an updated to our branded viewer it occasionally forces the download of the entire issue again, instead of running a small update of the one page. No other pages have been updated within the issue.

 

Does anyone know why this happens and how to avoid it?

    as far as I know, it has always been that way.

    Updating a single article in the folio causes the entire folio to be downloaded. This bug was supposed to be fixed in one of the most recent hot fixes, but it still happens the first time an article is updated.

    Also, if we ran an update immediatly after publishing would this be a work around as this only happens the first time a folio is updated?

    This is going to be fixed in our next release, due out in a week or two.

    Will we need to update our folio producer tools for this fix to take effect once released?

    No need to update to take in this fix, it's solely on the server side.

     

    Also, yes. If you update right away, we'll do the total update on that first one and subsequent updates will be selective.

    Hi, can someone confirm that this fix has now been actioned?

     

    Would like to update a couple pf pages on our last release, but don't want to force a whole new download.

    This issue has been resolved in v21. If you update an article, updating the folio on the iPad causes only the updated article to be downloaded, not the entire folio. To test this, I just updated one article in the Advanced Overlays folio of DPS Tips. When I updated the folio, it required only a 1 MB download.
