warping a circle

Hi

what I want to do is to place some text on top of a glass of champagne which is photgraped at an angle.

What I did was draw a circle the size of the top of the champagne glass and place my text inside.

I then grouped the two elements and tried to convert it to an elipse that matched the top of the liquid in the champagne glass.

Tried the warp tooland the mesh tool but I'm not having much success.

Am I approachingthe problem the wrong way?

It is possible you are doing this the right way but also possible you are not.

Post a screen shot of the gallss and the ellipse with the text so we can get abetter idea of what you are actually doing.

It might be easier in Photoshop

they also have a 3D feature which is in some ways more realistic
