can i upgrade media encoder only from cs4 to cs6?

I have a production studio licence.

    AME is not a stand alone program, it installs alongside another program, such as Premiere Pro or Flash.  So you'd need to update that "other program" in order to get AME CS6.

    Ok thanks for the update...do you know of any other goid 3rd party apps for encoding that support cuss?

    I know there are other programs that will take advantage of CUDA, ATI Stream and even Intel's Quick Sync feature, but I never use them myself, so you'll have to Google around a bit.
