Can you make a subscription based magazine to sell on Google Play?

I know you can do it for iPad, and now also for Amazon. But what about for Google? Can the Viewer Builder create an app that can handle subscriptions for that marketplace?

You can set up in-app billing for selling individual folios, but Google Play (formerly Android Market) doesn't have subscription options, unlike Apple and Amazon. You would need to set up a custom entitlement server using an Enterprise account to set up a subscription. Here's info on publishing to Android/Amazon:

We have quite some experience in setting up custom entitlement servers for these situations. If you want more information, please PM me.

Curious, does setting up this entitlement server circumvent the need to pay Google its revenue share as you are not utilizing the Google Play billing system?

Or do you simply sell a one time purchase price and than have the ability to deliver content on a regular schedule through the use of this custom entitlment server?

The entitlement server allows users stored at a database access to the content. If your customers subscribe outside the App and their user details are stored in this database, then yes.
