No data for PDF within Info Panel

Jun 11, 2012 9:12 AM

Hi All,

I'm creating a brochure for the first time in InDesign CS6, there are 100's of images in .jpg and .pdf formats. The PDF images (Photoshop PDF format) are showing no image data/info within the info panel. JPEGs are fine, all the information I need is showing but when I click on a .pdf image no colour or dpi (ppi) information is appearing..

Has anyone noticed this before or is there a reason this would not be showing?

Any help is always appreciated

Thanks

J

PDFs don't have a resolution (they can contain multiple resolutions) nor do they have a color space. Thus those attributes won't show in the Info and Links panels.

Photoshop PDFs are fine, and the only format that supports both raster and vector content from Photoshop.

No. PDF don't "not have a color space," they are not restricted to a single color space. If you require CMYK output you should convert to that profile during the export process. You can convert your RGB jpegs the same way.
