My dreamweaver site is secured sitewide by an SSL cert. (https). IE, Chrome both say it is not secure - possible culprit from my research is the Twitter feed on the homepage and the Download Adobe Reader image and link in the footer. What do I need to do to get these messages to go away and get the security working right.
The security warning was "Only secure content is displayed" in IE. Three culprits - one was the Twitter Feed - all it needed was a change - http: to https: Another culprit was an embedded Google map - same solution. Third was the code from a custom Google site search that wasn't working. I had paid someone to apply it. I got it working and discovered it wasn't the right code. After deleting the code from all the pages in the site (over 100), the entire site is now secure. Will revisit the Google Site Search to add at a later date. Lots of research and a tech call to Comodo. A misconception is that anchor refs must also be https: not true. It's OK to have outside http: links on a page in SSL, so the Adobe link in the footer was just fine. The developer tools in Google Chrome also helped debug this issue. Thanks Nancy!
