CS6 Extended (not beta version)
Windows 7
I need the anchor points to snap to whatever I have my gridlines and subdivisions set to in preferences along with guides I place. When I make the initial anchor points, they snap, but moving them after that, they don't snap. I see the new snap vector to pixel grid, but for the majority of my projects, that will not be used.
I have snap check marked and snap to all selected. Never had this problem before CS6.
Any help would be much appreciated,
Thanks
Thank you both for your quick reply. As of now I have to use CS5 to do vector anchor snapping. I have my grid set to inches and I'm snapping a lot of anchor points and need this vector shape proportionally correct.
This is a big problem if I have to switch between CS5 and 6 all the time. With CS 2, 3, 4, 5, I had no problem. I upgrade to CS6 to find a big downgrade but, I hope I'm just not seeing a new option to turn on snap vector to gridlines and guides.
Sometimes people need to snap anchor points to gridline percentages, centimeters etc. This is such a basic necessity to have. If someone knows how to hopefully turn this feature on in CS6 please let me know.
Thanks again
Thank you Chris for your reply. Yes my thoughts exactly, someone would think if snap vector to pixel grid is turned off then it would use whatever you have selected in the snap to list.
Again, this is such a basic necessity to have. By what you replied, it would seem to me this could be fixed with an update. I hope this is the case. If this is not fixed, then it will slow down my workflow considerably.
Thank you all for the replies on this problem.
Well I have just learnt something. I went back to CS5 and yes it works as stated, but because I always keep the Ctrl key down while moving points, I have never before let go of the Ctrl key while still holding the point with the mouse, so had not realised it would snap to point. It's ironic that I have discovered a feature just as it stops working.
It's extremely useful and vital for me to snap anchor points. I've used just about all the grid options for different projects. I replicated 35mm film perfectly and proportionally correct, but I would not have been able to do that if I couldn't snap to a millimeter grid. To me it was almost pointless for me to upgrade when something I use all the time is now not functioning. It is very cool to now have Illustrator like strokes in Photoshop.

You're not the only one Trevor, I never knew either that you need to let go of the Ctrl key.
As for the issue; most definitely a bug, I have the same problem.
