Hi Everyone!
I have InDesign CS5.5 and I'm having a problem with the new scrollable frames functions.
I tried to recreate a scrollable frame like the one shown here tv.adobe.com/watch/learn-digital-publishing-suite/scrollable-frames-an d-pan-zoom-v19/ at 03:43.
My Problem is:
Hide Scroll Indicators does not work
Use Document Position does not work too.
I have installed the latest producer tools (FolioProducerTools-CS55-1.10.1 and FolioPanel-CS55-12.2.2.1).
I'm running Windows (Is this the problem here? :-P )
I un- and reinstalled the producer tools.
I also tried it on my windows notebook. Same result.
Do I need to install anything else to get it working?
Maybe someone can help me here.
Best,
Wolfgang
Message was edited by: Onefootvisual19 I uninstalled the Folio Producer Tools v 1.10.1 and installed s v 1.8 (where the feature scrollable frame wasn't available yet) than installed v 1.9 (the wanted function as described above didn't work) and then finally reinstalled v.1.10.1. It still doesn't work ... Am I the only one here who experiences these problems?

Here are also three screenshots to illustrate my problem.
1.) I the red frame is the container of the grouped elements that are scrollable (on the left side is the whole element so you can see it). Hide scroll indicators option is checked and also use document position.
2. When I start the Content Viewer the scrollable frame places the content on the upper left corner ...
3. and scroll indicators are visible
What's the problem here?
Can anyone help me out?
Best,
Wolfgang

Here is another strange thing:
I looked up http://www.caniupdateadobedps.com/ and they say that you find the dps version number in the info window of the folio builder panel. it should be 20.
but mine says 15? though I installed v20 now for the fifth time.
the extension manager says I have v20 though.
Is this the cause for my dps functions not working the way they should?
I really would appreciate some help here.
Hi Bob!
I also un- and reinstalled Indesign today and updated the producer tools from first version to the latest one, one after the other. But I just can't get it working ...
I'm out of ideas now ...
I guess you didn't do any "special" trick? :-)
I'm running Windows 7 by the way.
Best,
Wolfgang
Hi Neil,
Yeah, I tried it on the Content Viewer on the iPad 2 as well. It displays the content exactly like the desktop version.
'When you upload the folio with a Mac it works.
I think the problem could be that my info panel of the folio still says version 15 is installed.
Question at the Windows Users: Does your panal say 7.5.5.20?
As I said, I installed v20 about 10 times by now. Don't know what I'm doing wrong ...
Ok, you're definitely on the wrong version of the tools which is probably the cause. Here's what you should do:
1) Uninstall all the DPS tools from Add/Remove programs
2) Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe InDesign CS5.5\Plug-Ins\Graphics and make sure there is no DigitalPublishing plug-in there. If there is, delete it.
3) Go to %appdata%\Adobe\InDesign\Version 7.5\en_US and make sure there is no PlugInConfig.txt file there. If there is, delete it.
4) Follow the install instructions at
http://help.adobe.com/en_US/digitalpubsuite/using/WS67cb9e293e2f1f60-2 1ba9a4512e5e5e0b8d-7ffe.html. You only need to install the v20 tools and panel. There is no need to install any of the prior components.
Neil
Dear Neil,
Thank you for pointing out the right direction.
Here is the deal:
After I deleted all the parts you described and reinstalled the tools it still didn't work, but I noticed in the Extension Manager that the plug-in was still active and located at the location where I installed InDesign CS5.5. I again deinstalled the tools and also deleted the "(DigitalPublishing Resources)" folder and the plug-in "DigitalPublishing.apln" (which was from the year 2011).
Than I reinstalled the tools and after starting InDesign CS5.5 the panel window told me I'm missing a plug-in and I should download the latest producer tools.
Here is the trick: I copied the newly created (from reinstalling the new tools) "(DigitalPublishing Resources)" and the "DigitalPublishing.apln" from C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe InDesign CS5.5\Plug-Ins\Graphics to the location where I have installed InDesign CS5.5 and it works!
Neil, thank you very much for your time!
You saved my day!
Best,
Wolfgang
