is it possible to allow a user to either press a key (set up as a shortcut key on the TEB) OR to click a button to validate the text in a TEB and advance to the next slide? For example, after the user types the text in the TEB, i would like them to be able to either press Enter OR click the OK button to validate what they type and move on. Is it a one or the other, i have to either set it up with the shortcut key OR set it up with a transparent button over the OK button on the screen? I thought i could set up both a shortcut key and the transparent button, but it isn't working. any help would be appreciated. I find TEBs to be the most confusing part of Captivate. Thank much.
Hi there
When you click the TEB to give it focus, look at the properties panel in the Options section. Ensure the option for "Show Button" is selected and the TEB will have an associated button. If your screen capture has an OK button as part of the image, configure the TEB button as transparent.
Now you can assign one shortcut to the TEB object and have a button that the viewer may click.
