Forms - how to "add another record"

Jun 14, 2012 7:44 AM

I'm creating a registration system tied to a checkout cart. The user completes a form with general information and their individual information then has to have the option to add another attendee to include individual information for each attendee and the price has to tally how many attendees. Groups might have up to 10 - and the only way I know is to have a ridiculously long form. Don't want to do that and have it show. Can I collapse the page and have each info section open when the user clicks to "add another"? What's best practice for buttons that add another? The final "submit order" button has to have all of the information to load the database and calculate the price - it then goes to a page to "confirm the order" which contains all the info they inputted and a "checkout" button. Clicking "checkout" takes them to a payment gateway. Stuck on this add another attendee option - and my need for a single submit button to complete the order.

After viewing some online tutorials - decided to give collapsible spry panels a try. Functionally, it appears to be working in the form element.
