slide transition problem

My slide transition stops and freezes half way through the transition.

Only on slides with buttons (Text, image, doesn't matter).

Any type of transition (wipe, fly, etc.).

Any Quality setting (Low, High, etc.)

Preview and Publish (Flash)

any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Windows 7 64 bit

i7-3939K 3.2GHz

In the effects panel, holding those transitions, do the time in which they are to take place go for too long compared to the actual during of the image or whatnot?

Thanks for the reply.

It's actually not an effect, but a slide transition, which I set the the slide Properties: General: Transition:[Wipe/Fly/...]. I can't find a way to adjust any timing/length of a slide transition. I did increase the slide Display Time to over 10 seconds, but that didn't do anything.

It does seem to be related to having a button. Slide transitions work on slides without buttons, but when I add a button to a working slide transition, it freezes halfway through like the photo.

Haven't tried on a new, blank presentation yet, but that's next to see if my file has something whacky going on ...

Can you post an image of your timeline of one slide where this happens?

without looking at your timeline it's hard to say, but it sounds like the pause in your buttons are pausing the slide transition.

I believe buttons default to 3 second duration with a pause a 1.5 seconds. If your effect is playing when the playhead hits the pause in your button it stops until the button is clicked and the playhead released.

If you're able to attach a screenshot of your timeline, that will help diagnose what's happening.
