Can't access assignments I have checked out—HELP!!!

Tags:I'm using InCopy CS6 (the trial version at the moment). I've checked out some assignments to work on them, and since I'm the only one using them for now, I've been closing InCopy without checking them back in. Previously this hasn't created a problem, but today it's saying that the assignments are in use, so I can't make changes to them. The thing is that they're in use by me.
I've tried restarting InCopy and restarting my computer, but the document still isn't recognizing me. What do I do???
(I've only accessed this document from one computer and under one user name. No one else has accessed it, or any of the linked files. I haven't accessed any of the linked files in any way except through this document.)
