Install CS6 on Desktop, Keep CS5 on Laptop?

I have purchased and am installing CS6 on my desktop computer. I previously had CS5 installed on my desktop and laptop, but the laptop is getting a little old and I really only occasionally use CS5 on it anyway. Will I be able to leave CS5 on my laptop and still use it if I don't install CS6 on my laptop?

Technically your upgrade replaces your license for CS5 with a license for CS6. While you no longer have thei right to run CS5, it is common practice within the industry to keep earlier versions for work that requires earlier versions. As long as you stay within the spirit on the license (not running CS5 and CS 6 at the same time) no one is likely to care if you keep and run CS5 on the earlier computer.

Really? Surely if I purchased CS5 and CS6 I should be able to run and use both? After all, I bought them!

You didn't buy the software...you licensed it.

The EULA does allow for a transistion period which is not defined. I have CS3, CS4, CS5, CS5.5 and CS6 installed and nobody has raided my office yet. <g>
