I know enough to be dangerous, however I did build my own website. ThePeninsulaofJacksonville.com
I would like to add the google +1 button to my Front page (Index page) having watched many "You Tube" videos appears to be easy enough to do. Needless to say, I am not having any luck working it out.
The actual Google +1 code is prepared for you. http://www.google.com/webmasters/+1/button/
I placed: <g:plusone annotation="inline"></g:plusone> where I what the google +1 logo to appear on my web page, on the "source page" only.
Then I placed the below code within the header of the "Source" page <script type="text/javascript">
(function() {
var po = document.createElement('script'); po.type = 'text/javascript'; po.async = true;
po.src = 'https://apis.google.com/js/plusone.js';
var s = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(po, s);
})();
</script>
I went back to the layout page, nothing, I went to preview, nothing!
Would anyone know what I'm missing?
Appreciate your help in advance.
Sincerely
