Upgrade questions Elements 6 to 10

How do I turn off the "who's this?" boxes in Elements 10?  Also, does starting a new catalog improve the speed?  I have about 8500 pictures in my catalog.  I just upgraded from 6, and 10 is much slower.  I thought turning off some features might help.  Advice?

    In Organizer, use View on the menu bar and deselect "Show People Recognition".

     

    Use Edit...Preferences to turn off all Media Analysis functions.

    Try turning off all the auto features in Organizer.

     

    Edit >> Preferences >> Media Analysis
