CS6 Subscription download

Hi, looking for help prior to downloading CS6.

 

I downloaded the Photoshop Free Trial - version CS5.1

 

The free trial has ended and directs me to the Adobe shop. If I were to pay for or subscribe to CS6, will this require a new full download? Or would I be provided with an activation key for the software already installed to my desktop?

 

Any help would be appreciated
