Importing Articles, Content generation error, invalid for import, Structuring Folders

Hi,

I'm doing a test run DPS folio and creating the most basic sets of Indesign Articles to import into the Folio Builder. No use of Folio Overlays, no hyperlinks, nothing fancy. A Cover in both orientations, a simple text-only article of 2 pages in both orientations, and a pictures-only (RGB JPGs) article of 2 pages in both orientations.

Packaged as per standard procedure, with the 3 packaged files in their own folders, in an enclosing "Articles" folder.

Every attempt at Folio Builder>import into my new folio gives me the "Content generation error" The folder [name] is "invalid for import" – across all of those article types. I've tried renaming to the simplest naming format, no joy. Images are RGB JPGs, but even a type only article won't work for me – tested Adobe Minion Pro and another font.

Regardless of whether I am creating a Local or Cloud destination, I'm on CS6 and up to date with the latest software.

I have followed Scott Citron's videos on the adobe.tv site – http://tv.adobe.com/watch/adobe-and-your-voice/publishing-an-ipad-port folio-application/ – where he clearly states naming INDD files with _h and _v suffix and separating each orientation into its own INDD article document is no longer required.

HOWEVER, page 37 of the digitalpubsuite_help.pdf guide still lists this as necessary – and it seems this is an update as recent as 12 June 2012…

Can anyone help – why do I keep getting the error import then? Am I missing something blatantly obvious?

Thanks in advance.

At the present time using alternate layouts for dual orientations can only be done by using the add function from the folio buidler panel. You should continue to use separate files with _h and _v suffixes for now.

The add function is for the open InDesign file only.
