Histogram

Lately when working in Elements 9, the Histogram appears, even though it was not selected. I can not close it through the windows menu. To make the situation worse, the Histogram panel keeps "jumping". What do I need to do to get the Histogram to act properly. Thanks.

    The usual thing to try when PSE starts acting goofy is to rebuild the Preferences:  Hold down your Ctrl+Alt+Shift keys when launching the Editor.  Keep the keys held down until you get a prompt asking if you want to delete the Preferences.  Answer "Yes" -- they will be re-built.

     

    (You might have to minimize any open windows to see that prompt.)
