The Flash Player 11.3 installers have been combined; the installer will install the 32-bit player on 32-bit systems, and install both 32-bit and 64-bit players on 64-bit systems.

The combined installers can be downloaded from http://helpx.adobe.com/content/help/en/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-windows.html#main-pars_header

However, since Vista 64-bit is not officially supported by Adobe, I do not know what it will install on this system.

Another unhelpful answer, I know.

What an unhelpful answer.  Running Firefox 13.x.  Flash player worked fine until

today.  Tried download where is states 'Flash player is NOT compatible with

Windows Vista 64 bit.  I know this to be false.  As I asked the first time.  I

need a link for 64 BIT FLASH, NOT 32 BIT!!

Please help!

Pat,

I'm glad I kept your email. I certainly appreciate your honesty (again no

help...lol), and thought I'd let you know problem solved. It was nothing to do

with Flash OR Mozilla. I've been running a program for an incentive program

through Nielsen. I've had issues with Nielsen interfering with my computer

before. I removed the program this morning and voila! everything works. Thanks

for the help!

Simon

Just curious, as I do not have access to any Vista machine: did running the combined installer actually install both 32-bit and 64-bit players on Vista?  Check these two folders:

  • C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash
  • C:\Windows\syswow64\Macromed\Flash

Yep, installed both. When I bought my laptop, I actually had a free upgrade to

Windows 7 but divorce and my certificate parted us....upgrading soon...lol.

Thanks; that is very useful to know.  So the statement that Vista 64 is not supported is actually wrong!

I hope that Chris or other Flash Player team members will notice this topic and issue a correction.

Absolutely correct. I've been using Adobe Flash on my laptop (Vista 64 Bit)

since I bought it approximately 3 years ago.
