phone numbers show up as clickable links in iOS

Jun 17, 2012 3:58 PM

whenever i place a phone number on a page, no matter what format (xxx.xxx.xxxx, (xxx)xxx-xxx etc) it shows up as a clickable link on the ipad and iphone.

in safari and firefox the phone number looks exactly as it should.

any ideas?

the site is a work in progress and can be found here http://socialstarpower01.businesscatalyst.com/index.html

    Hi,

You can disable the phone number detection on your web site by IOS by including, <meta name = "format-detection" content = "telephone=no">, in the head section of the web page.

To do that, go to the Page Properties -> Metadata.

    Hi A,

Will that work if I place that code on my master pages, or does it have to go on each separate page (I've got over 60, and counting)?

Thanks for asking that question Bucc, and now I know how to access the head section.... something new for me.

    Hi grayrockgraphics,

It has to be on individual pages as the Master Pages do not have the Page Properties available. It would be great that you add it to our ideas section right here, http://forums.adobe.com/community/muse/ideas
