Downloading and installing Lightroom 4 on Mac

I have purchased LR 4 on the Adobe site and received the e-mail with the link to download.  I have downloaded the Mac version onto my computer but the installer cannot open it.  I keep getting the error: Operation could not be completed (com.apple.installer.pagecontroller error-1.) 

Couldn't open "Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4.pkg"

 

Any ideas on how to fix this issue???  Thank your for your time and consideration!

    Your Mac doesn't meet the minimum system requirement.

     

    Check the tech specs for lightroom from here :- www.adobe.com/products/photoshop-lightroom/tech-specs.html

    Lightroom 3 works fine on my mac but there wasn't an option to purchase a key for it.  I have used the trial version recently.  Is LR 4 that much different?  Thanks!

    Usually I will get an error stating that Mac does not meet the requirements when that is the case.

    LR4 only work on 10.6.8 and later hence yes , the LR4 has high specs compare to LR3.

     

    It would be better if you check the specs by youeself , I have given link in my previous post.

    It is when the Adobe installer start and run the System check , but here the error is thrown by the Mac itself before initializing the Adobe installation.
