i thought i would wait until i installed the cs6 trial of photoshop before asking, but for my 5 old cs5 panels, i get an error thrown and a dialog box saying so when i try to convert the panels from cs5 to cs6, so i am wondering what the next step is to troubleshoot. this is with the 052112 build of configurator, thanks, gary
I guess your steps are:
1: launch Configurator 3.0
2: open the old ".pgc" file created by Configurator 2.0 in the launched Configurator 3.0
3: select " covert to CS6"
then get an error dialog? What's the message in that error dialog?
Could you please sent your ".pgc" file and the corresponding ".assets" folder of the old panel to xguo@adobe.com ?
Let's investigate the problem with your panel.
Thanks

Hi
There is a known bug of Configurator3 is: if you migrate a Configurator 2.0 panel to 3.0 one at first, then when you try to use “Edit->Convert to CS6” in Configurator 3 will fail.
The panel you sent to me are already Configurator 3 format, so I guess your steps are:
1: open the 2.0 panel in Configurator 3
2: doesn’t select “covert to CS6” option and click the “Yes” button directly
3: then the panel is shown as 3.0 format, bug still just for Photoshop CS5
4: when you try to use “Edit-Convert to CS6” to covert the panel for Photoshop CS6. It failed.
This is a known bug. And it will be fixed in our next released patch.
To avoid this currently, at above step2, select the checkbox of “Convert to CS6” and then click yes.
Could you please try again, if it still has problem, please attach the original 2.0 format file to us.
After you do a migration or a conversion, the original 2.0 format file is backed up in the PANELNAME_Backup folder at the same directory.
As for the unwanted area at the bottom of the panel , there is a discussion in the forum. http://forums.adobe.com/message/4444685#4444685
Seems this can be fixed in next patch too.
