Hi there,
we're trying to publish our first ipad magazine app. as this is a one off mag we're just having a single edition app.
but, we're having both a US and a UK edition with slightly differing content and thus two separate apps.
we have managed to load the first app to apple (waiting review), although i am about 10% hopeful of it actually working—but the second app is causing problems.
we have bought a second serial and loaded the exported folio producer zip to the viewer builder but when i check the bundle id it is the same as the other app.
is there any way of changing this? is this because we only have the dps single edition. i am so confused here. i've spent a whole week trying to sort this out.
please help if you can.
thanks, Leon
What do you mean when you say the Bundle ID is the same as the other app? The Bundle ID is generated automatically when you create the App ID on the Apple developer side. For each app you create, you need to use the iOS Provisioning Portal to create a new App ID. Then, after you create the app using Viewer Builder, you use iTunes Connect to start the app submission process.
I thought i used separate ones.
But with all the complications and confusion trying to load the second app i ended up issuing and subsequently revoking about 4 or 5 certificates.
i guess it's possible that i accidentally used the same certs and mob provis profile for both apps.
i've attached the certificates and mobile provisioning files we currently have.
a problem occurs when i use the DPS Viewer Builder to enter the Distrib and Dev Mobileprovision files.
I get an error saying "Bundle ID inside mobileprovision does not match the bundle ID used for the build which was....".
Send a message to adobe. In the email you received when you purchased the single edition, there is a support email address. I sent a message explaining the prob and they called me back within an hour. They deleted the app for me. and it's all set. Oh yeah, and be sure to use the the correct provisional certificates. They have to be different than any provisional certificates you've used for other apps you've created. Otherwise the same bundle ID will be assigned to your new app. Apparently, the provisional certificates are what create the bundlw ID.
I am having this same issue. I did not realize that I needed to use new certificates and have beening using the same p12 as for our first single-edition issue.
I think I need to do as CWilliamDmmm suggests and start over. However, I've looked at all of my order confirmations and emails re: my serial number and do not see a support email. Can someone provide the support email?
